Lady Evangelist Dorcas Salami

Founder & Visionary

In 1997, Lady Evangelist Dorcas Salami looked at the children of Ishahayi Beach village and made a decision that would change thousands of lives: every child — privileged or not — deserved the best education at a rate their family could afford.

A missionary by calling and an educator by conviction, she founded what was then The Light Schools and has guided its growth into the Shining Light Schools of today. Nearly three decades later, her vision lives in over 3,000 alumni: engineers, medical practitioners, business leaders and changemakers who began their journey under her light.

Miss Elizabeth Salami

Administrator

Elizabeth oversees the day-to-day running of Shining Light Schools, ensuring that classrooms, staff and students all work in harmony. Her steady administration keeps the founder’s vision practical, organised and alive every single school day.

John Adedeji

Facilities Manager

John keeps our 80 structures safe, functional and welcoming. From classrooms to play areas, his care for the school’s facilities means every child learns in an environment built for comfort and growth.

Pastor O. Solomon

Special Adviser

Pastor Solomon provides spiritual guidance and strategic counsel to the school’s leadership. His wisdom helps Shining Light stay true to its missionary roots while navigating the future with confidence.
